Welcome to A Safe Place: Mentoring for Teenagers

Thank you for considering mentoring for your child. This outlines what you can expect from the service, how sessions work, and the terms we ask you to agree to before starting.

What Mentoring Offers

• A supportive, confidential space for your child to explore challenges, express themselves, and build confidence.

• Sessions tailored to the individual: they might include talking, making, reflecting, problem-solving or planning — depending on what your child finds helpful.

• A consistent adult presence who listens without judgment and supports your child’s growth at their own pace.

Confidentiality & Safeguarding

• Sessions are private, and I respect your child’s confidentiality.

• I will always encourage your child to share important concerns with you, and may offer to do so together.

• If I believe your child or someone else is at risk of harm, I will contact you or the appropriate services in line with safeguarding procedures.

Communication with Parents

• I offer a short update (email or call) every 4–6 sessions if desired, and am available for check-ins where needed.

• Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns.

Fees & Cancellations

• Sessions are charged at £55, or at a discounted rate if booked in a block.

• Cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice are free; otherwise, the full session fee is charged.
